When using Facebook’s promoted posts also called boosted posts you just need to make sure you have a strategy for using this service.

Notice you have two options.

#1 is People who like your Page and their friends (obviously the more people like your page the more influence you can have)  and the more influence the higher the cost of that promoted post.

#2 is People you choose through targeting.   You can choose Country, State, Cities, Gender, Age and Language…  With the cost to advertise being so reasonable doesn’t mean you do it without a strategy.

Notice I have potential reach of 170,000,000 from this post depending on the amount I am willing to invest in this one promoted post.

Ask yourself these 3 questions?

#1 What am I trying to accomplish with this post?  Am I trying to get my brand noticed?  Am I trying to fill up a webinar?  Am I trying to get more comments on my blog post etc…

#2  How large of an audience am I willing to invest in?

#3  How am I going to follow up after this Promoted Post?

Now that you have your strategy figured out, don’t hesitate and go promote your first facebook post..
